About the Role
The University of Salford is seeking a skilled Tradesperson to join our Facilities team as a Joinery Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including maintenance and repairs of the university's buildings, supervising small projects, and installing new doors and frames.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair the external and internal fabrics and fittings of the university's buildings
- Supervise small projects, including new door and frame installations, fire door maintenance and repairs
- Work on composite, upvc, metal doors, frames, and windows, as well as traditional wood types
- Be part of the on-call-rota and Christmas break on-call-rota
About the Team
The Estates and Facilities Services Directorate is responsible for delivering a full estates and facilities management service to the University, including property maintenance, planned maintenance, fire safety compliance, renovation, cleaning, security, caretaking, and facilitating spaces for staff and students.
