About the Role:
- System Installation: Install new plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, water systems, and drainage systems, in accordance with building codes and safety standards.
- Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to and resolve small plumbing issues, such as leaks, blockages, and minor repairs, to minimize downtime for clients.
- System Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular inspections and tests of plumbing systems to ensure they meet building codes, safety standards, and functionality requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose plumbing issues quickly and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime for clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople on large projects to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local building regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent certification
- CSCS card
- Driver's license
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in both installation and maintenance (not including apprenticeship)
- Be willing to get a DBS check
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve plumbing issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding tasks. Willingness to work in various commercial environments, including construction sites, offices, and industrial settings.
