CAMHS Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated registered nurse to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. As a Band 6 nurse practitioner, you will be part of a dynamic and expanding team dedicated to providing exceptional care to young people and their families.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in psychosocial and mental health assessment and care planning. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and therapeutic service.
The community nursing team plays a vital role in CAMHS, and we have invested heavily in supporting our nursing staff. We pride ourselves on being a compassionate, caring, and innovative team that empowers clinicians to work to their full potential.
As a nurse practitioner in this role, you will work closely with the CAMHS multidisciplinary team to provide direct clinical contact with children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems and their families. You will be required to work flexibly, including occasional evening or weekend shifts, to meet the changing needs of the service.

Please note that NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
