MLK Education Search is seeking a skilled Drama Teacher to join a forward-thinking 11-18 Academy in Liverpool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To teach allocated drama lessons and lead the delivery of drama curriculum.
  • To contribute to the effective implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • To participate in operational activities of the Academy, including meetings, events, and activities as required.
  • To maintain a suitable teaching and working environment.
  • To ensure continuous improvement in standards and evaluate and improve the Academy's performance.
  • To lead and support high standards of behaviour, learning, attainment, and achievement.
  • To manage resources creatively and efficiently to meet the Academy's priorities.
  • To celebrate success and implement strategies for continuing improvement while addressing under-performance.
  • To ensure the health, safety, and welfare of staff and students.
  • To meet the requirements of the Teacher Standards issued by the Department for Education.

Qualifications:

  • A drama-related degree.
  • QTS.
  • An excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum Programme of study for Drama at Key Stage 3 and exam specifications at Key Stage 4 & 5.
  • A secure understanding of effective drama teaching.
  • An understanding of drama's relationship with the wider curriculum.
