About the Role
We are recruiting a Principal Research Technician to join our team at the Department of Engineering's Aerodynamics and Acoustics Laboratories. As a key member of the laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to research staff and academics, and maintaining and operating equipment/apparatus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support experiments conducted by researchers and academics
  • Maintain and operate research and/or teaching equipment/apparatus
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to students and research staff

Requirements
  • Degree level education/level 6 vocational qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • Advanced knowledge of lab technician work involving critical understanding of relevant theory/principles
  • Practical experience of specialised laboratory activity and equipment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills and high degree of precision and accuracy

Estimate Salary and Benefits
