We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II to join our team at Ansys, a leading provider of engineering simulation software. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of web software products and solutions that power innovation and drive human advancement.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer science or a related field, with 2 years of experience in technical software development. You will work under the general supervision of a development manager and collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives primarily in a TypeScript codebase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain, test, and document software modules and sub-systems.
  • Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
  • Understand marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or other natural science disciplines with 2 years' experience or MS.
  • Working experience in technical software development proven by academic, research, or industry projects.
  • Good understanding and skills in object-oriented programming.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Good technical knowledge and commercial experience with TypeScript, Angular, web development, scripting languages, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience working/maintaining a mature Angular application/project/package code base.
  • Experience with React, Vue, or similar other front-end technologies.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
