Apprentice Mechanical Engineer Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer at Oxford Instruments.
About the RoleThis apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing and testing, while also pursuing academic qualifications. You will work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to develop your skills and knowledge.
As a Mechanical Manufacturing Trainee, you will be responsible for completing a placement in each of our manufacturing cells, working on various projects and tasks to enhance your skills and understanding of the production process.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the production process by performing routine tasks and assisting in the maintenance of equipment.
- Develop and improve technical skills through on-the-job training and collaboration with experienced colleagues.
- Participate in quality control and assurance processes to ensure high-quality products.
To succeed in this role, you should have a keen interest in manufacturing and engineering, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) at grade 5 and above, including English, Science, and Maths, is required.
You will also need to demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations, as well as excellent teamwork and time management skills.
The estimated salary for this position is £18,000-£22,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
