About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to join our team as a Family Integrated Care Coordinator. This is a Band 6 position that will play a vital role in supporting the Family Integrated Care Lead in ensuring that a family integrated care ethos is embedded within the service.

The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote, support, and assess a Ficare culture across all aspects of neonatal care. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing family-focused care initiatives and measuring achievements and outcome improvements by undertaking regular auditing of the nursing care quality indicators and parents' experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with the family integrated lead to promote, support, and assess a Ficare culture across all aspects of neonatal care.
  • Work alongside infant feeding leads, lactation consultants to support the unit in achieving and maintaining UNICEF Baby Friendly Accreditation and promote breastfeeding initiatives across the perinatal service.
  • To support the lead in the development of family-focused care and measure achievements and outcome improvements by undertaking regular auditing of the nursing care quality indicators and parents' experience.
  • Be an advocate for embedding the ethos of 'parents as partners in care' - empowering staff to educate and support parents to be fully involved in the provision of care and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • RGN/RN/RNC/RM
  • Teaching and Assessing course
  • Approved Neonatal Life Support Course
  • Educated to level 6 or working towards

Salary: £42,683 - £57,135 per annum depending on experience
