Lead Site Development for the World's First Prototype Fusion Energy Plant

We are seeking an experienced Site Development Lead to join our team at UK Industrial Fusion Solutions (UKIFS) Ltd., a subsidiary of UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). In this critical role, you will lead a team of project, construction, and site professionals to ensure the effective planning and execution of all site characterization and early construction works.

As a Site Development Lead, you will be responsible for managing the interface with STEP Construction Partner and other contractors operating on site. You will work closely with local stakeholders, including communities, councils, and regional authorities, to build and maintain productive relationships.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of delivering construction projects to the highest HSE standards. They will also possess demonstrable experience of managing construction/infrastructure projects, including CDM regulations.

UKIFS is leading the STEP programme to deliver the world's first prototype fusion energy plant by 2040. Our vision is to drive a path to the commercial viability of fusion energy, crucial for combating climate change and ensuring energy independence.

We offer a competitive salary of £79,638, plus excellent benefits, including an outstanding defined benefit pension scheme and corporate bonus scheme up to 7%. Our office is located in West Burton or Culham, with onsite working expected for 3 days each week.
