Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Manager to join our EMEA Legal and Compliance Team. This role will work closely with logistics and customs teams to ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations, as well as analyze and improve import, transit, and export procedures. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of customs and trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate the region's compliance status with various regulatory bodies, including customs, export control, and tax authorities.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, processes, and compliance audit programs to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with EU and national legislations within the EMEA region, providing guidance on customs and import/trade law.
  • Ensure compliance with company and customs requirements, including simplified customs clearance and reporting.
  • Support the development of an import compliance training program and provide training as needed.
  • Classify products under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and prepare reports and presentations on customs and trade compliance activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure trade compliance in the EMEA region.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Customs/International Trade.
  • Excellent knowledge of import/export and customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, Import Duties, International Regulations, and AEO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work independently in support of trade compliance objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional level of English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to influence and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines.
