Job Overview

This role is based at the University of Hertfordshire and involves working as part of the Residence Life Team to provide an outstanding student experience for those living within university accommodation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to help continually improve services. This includes working with Student Wellbeing, Security, Student Union and the Police to ensure that students receive the necessary support to succeed in their studies.

As a key member of the team, you will manage investigations and support student wellbeing by identifying and referring students who may require additional support. You will also create and monitor accurate reports, ensuring all actions are recorded on the Reporting System.

In terms of benefits, this role offers a competitive salary of £31,396 - £33,966 per annum, plus 25 days annual leave and public holidays. You will also have access to excellent training and development opportunities, as well as the chance to work on various projects relating to residence life across the university.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of working in the Higher Education sector, as well as delivering pastoral care, welfare and wellbeing services to students. They will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to action reports using the relevant UPR to achieve effective outcomes.

A minimum of a degree or equivalent qualification is required, along with a Safeguarding Level 1 qualification. Please attach a personal statement showing how your skills and experience match the person specification.
