Are you looking to begin a career in pharmacy? We are seeking a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our team at the Imperial College NHS Trust.
This two-year fixed-term training contract will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills as a pharmacy technician. You will participate in theoretical day-release training and practical on-the-job training, where you will undertake technical duties in dispensing and supplying medicines.
Salary and BenefitsYou will be paid 70% of the top of band 4 in your first year and 75% in your second, with a competitive salary package that includes benefits such as flexible working, wellbeing initiatives, and career development opportunities.
About the RoleAs a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for maintaining sufficient progress and meeting the training and assessment requirements of the course. You will work closely with experienced healthcare professionals to develop your skills and knowledge, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Eligibility CriteriaTo be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Have the equivalent of 9 to 4 or A* to C pass at GCSE Level in English Language, Math, Science, plus 1 other subject pass.
- Overseas qualifications require an ENIC Statement of Comparability.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about pharmacy and committed to their professional development. As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will need to be patient-focused, have good interpersonal and communication skills, be a quick learner, able to adapt, keen to get involved, and committed to the training programme.
Key Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in maths and science, with the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience working in a hospital setting is desirable but not essential.
