Job Title: Library Technologies and Digital Platforms Innovator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our team in delivering innovative services via our core digital platforms. As the Library Technologies and Digital Platforms Innovator, you will be responsible for managing our digital platforms, including Alma, Primo, Leganto, and Bridges (Figshare), and ensuring they are well-managed and accessible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver the infrastructure for the University's digital repositories, including Bridges (Figshare)
  • Develop and maintain the library systems roadmap and governance protocols for internal user access and authorisation
  • Explore and implement strategic and innovative solutions to optimise the Library's systems and technology infrastructure
  • Provide leadership to the Libraries Technologies Team to deliver high-level and professional services and achieve the Library's priorities
  • Engage with system and service providers, platforms, consortia, and global initiatives to implement streamlined and sustainable workflows

Requirements:

  • Substantial staff management experience
  • Capacity to engage with new technologies and implement strategic and innovative solutions
  • Ability to provide expert advice at both strategic and operational levels

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, with flexible working arrangements available.
