Child Protection Specialist

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) invites qualified professionals to apply for a challenging and rewarding role as a Child Protection Specialist.
Job Summary:
- To provide support and care to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) in Warwickshire, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
- To help UASC navigate the complexities of the immigration system and advocate for their rights.
- To create and implement tailored pathway plans addressing the unique needs of UASC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting UASC as looked-after children, including providing guidance on education, health, and employment opportunities.
- Conducting specialist assessments, including age assessments where required, and promoting cultural awareness.
- Building trusting relationships with UASC and advocating effectively on their behalf.
Requirements:
- A professional Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Prior experience working with vulnerable children and young people, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.
- Culturally aware, empathetic, and sensitive to the unique needs of asylum-seeking children.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £38,890 - £43,041 per annum, plus full reimbursement of Social Work England annual fee, generous annual leave, and an additional day at Christmas.
