Expert Offshore Structural Engineer for Renewable Energy Projects

This esteemed organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to support the delivery of their global portfolio of projects through various levels of development (conceptual, FEED and detailed design projects) for major offshore wind turbine generator assets together with developing innovative solutions for repair and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and analyse offshore structures, including fixed and floating foundation design for offshore wind turbine generators and substations, considering site specific hydrodynamic loads and environmental conditions.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver structural engineering projects ensuring compliance with industry design standards (API, DNV, NORSOK, etc.)
  3. Assess, review, and interpret technical inputs required for offshore structural design.
  4. Ensure that all design work under their purview is performed, reviewed, checked, and approved in accordance with engineering procedures or as specified in a Project Quality Plan.
Experience Required
  1. A minimum of years of relevant experience in the offshore industry with a focus on either Primary or Secondary Steel design preferably for Offshore Wind Turbine Generator Foundations.
  2. A Master's degree in Offshore Structures, Ocean Engineering, Structural Engineering or a relevant discipline with an excellent understanding of Structural Mechanics and Hydrodynamics.
  3. Proficiency in the use of SESAM or SACS software is considered ideal, although practical experience with comparable software can also be considered.
  4. Knowledge in programming and scripting skills (Python or VBA) is considered an advantage, but not mandatory.
Salary Estimate

The estimated salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
