About the Role

The Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Team Manager for the Kolvin Service. This integrated adolescent forensic mental health service provides care to young people aged 10-18 years in two Secure Children's Homes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical, management, and professional leadership to support the clinical team in delivering high-quality care. They will maintain a high profile with the clinical business unit and NHSE, ensuring effective partnership working and collaboration with clinicians from different disciplines and professional backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical, management, and professional leadership to support the clinical team in delivering high-quality care.

  • Coordinate and manage staff resources, ensuring effective use of skills and expertise.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes, working closely with the clinical team and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for service users and staff.

Requirements

  • First-level registered nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD, or equivalent) or social worker with relevant postgraduate qualification or training.
  • Experience of coordinating and managing staff resources, working within a multi-disciplinary team using a community-based approach.
  • Experience of providing community-based mental health services, leading teams, and taking on a leadership role in project management.
  • Commitment to partnership working, both multi-agency and multi-disciplinary, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
