MBDA is seeking a talented undergraduate to join our Complex Warheads Centre of Excellence as a Lethality Engineer. This 10-month placement offers a unique opportunity to apply your university learning to real-world engineering projects and technologies.

About the Role

As a Lethality Engineer, you will be responsible for predicting the lethal performance of various types of missile systems. You will work closely with our team of experts to develop and implement bespoke modelling tools, using MATLAB and other software to evaluate and investigate the lethal performance of developing and future missile systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement modelling tools to evaluate and investigate the lethal performance of missile systems
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to design and implement warhead technologies
  • Apply an understanding of fuzing techniques, warhead technologies, lethal effects, and lethality assessment modelling methods to various types of missile systems
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a talented undergraduate studying towards a degree in an Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computing, or Applied Science discipline. You should have a strong understanding of mathematical and computational techniques, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
