About the Role:
EJ Legal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Funds Paralegal to join our team on a 6-12 month contract. As a Paralegal Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of fund-related work, including private equity, private debt, real estate, mezzanine, venture, credit, infrastructure, funds of funds, distressed and special situations, and activist funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing fund documents, including private equity, private debt, and real estate transactions.
- Maintaining trackers and checklists on various aspects of the funds process for a large number of investors.
- Preparing and managing virtual data rooms for clients and investors.
- Reviewing, filing, and circulating countersigned documents to clients, investors, and administrators.
- Preparing and submitting Companies House filings, including corporate authorizations and winding up/insolvency searches.
- Drafting corporate authorizations and opinion and closing bibles.
- Liaising with specialist regulatory counsel to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- An LLB/GDL degree or equivalent.
- Experience in managing CP checklists, Companies House filings, and drafting board minutes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will gain exposure to high-calibre work at trainee solicitor level and an impressive salary of £34,000-£38,000 plus overtime.
