About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Design Manager to join our team at United Living Group. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of our projects, ensuring they are delivered on budget and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interrogate consultants' and sub-contractors' drawings and documentation.
  • Manage and drive external consultants in the preparation and issue of production information to an agreed programme.
  • Develop, control, and manage project-specific design programmes as part of broader master delivery programmes.
  • Coordinate technical information from start to completion of project.
  • Manage and coordinate external consultants in their day-to-day duties related to design, coordination, and technical aspects of production information.
  • Oversee document control with regards to registration and distribution of design and technical information.
  • Liaise with key personnel within the project team in preparation of project costing and design works.
  • Review tenders as part of the bid team to assess the quality of received information, identify value engineering opportunities, risks, collate consultants' cost, and prepare contractors' proposals.
  • Keep up to date on new and innovative products and modern methods of construction.
