Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
This is an ongoing position located in the London Borough of Newham.
The role involves providing specialist 1:1 support for ASD learners aged 5-19, with a focus on life skills development for highly vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist students in developing their social, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
- Support students across various year groups with diverse needs, including Autism, ADHD, and mental health challenges.
- Pursue professional growth through regular training in safeguarding and SEN awareness.
- Tap into our proven track record of enabling career progression, with many SEN TAs advancing into roles such as Clinical or Educational Psychologists.
- Benefit from convenient access via public transport, with nearby parking facilities available.
- Hold a degree in Special Education, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Leverage prior experience working with children or young people, although this is not essential.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
£40,000 - £60,000 per annum
We Offer:
A competitive salary of £45,000 per annum based on experience.
