Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team at a popular privately owned hotel on the stunning island of Jersey in the Channel Islands.

About the Role:

As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen is run efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of food to the highest standards
  • Manage kitchen staff and ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively
  • Monitor and control kitchen costs and inventory
  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times

What We Offer:

As a Sous Chef with Platinum Recruitment Consultancy, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of chefs and to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Hours:

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
