About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our outpatient services, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through their appointments and providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide chaperone services as required, ensuring patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their appointments.
  • Undertake point of care testing, adhering to national guidelines and protocols.
  • Enhance the patient experience by supporting planned patient-centered care and directing patients to the appropriate area of the department.
  • Refer complex enquiries to the Nurse in Charge, ensuring seamless communication and care.
  • Prepare each clinic to ensure rooms are stocked and cleaned, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Ensure procedure rooms are cleaned, stocked, and prepared between each case, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Work within the policies and procedures as laid down within the Trust, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Support areas of service improvement within the scope of practice, contributing to the development of our outpatient services.
