Job Opportunity

Arbuthnot Yon is seeking a highly skilled commercial lawyer to join our team. As a leading business with a turnover of over £2 billion and 7,000 employees in the UK alone, we offer a unique opportunity for a commercial lawyer to work closely with our commercial teams and advise on a wide range of legal areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage large-scale commercial projects with a value in the hundreds of millions, working closely with the business team as the lead lawyer overseeing strategy, project management of legals, and drafting and negotiation of bids and tenders, and supply agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate high-value contracts relating to goods and services agreements, outsourcing agreements, consultancy and technology-related agreements.
  • Advise on innovation projects, including joint ventures, collaborations, and spin-offs.
  • Advise the business on GDPR-related risk.
  • Advise on ad-hoc legal areas such as intellectual property, data protection, and disputes.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-4 years' PQE gained in-house or in private practice.
  • Strong commercial contract law skills and good negotiation skills.
  • Experience in project management, procurement, IT, or data protection is beneficial.
