Job Title: Procurement Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Reed. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to optimize total value across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Rationalize and Develop the Supplier Base: Develop and implement a supplier rationalization strategy to optimize the supplier base, incorporating UK, European, and International sourcing strategies.
- Plan and Manage Categories: Plan and manage categories both tactically and strategically to meet organizational goals, ensuring alignment with business requirements and KPIs/SLAs.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Liaise with stakeholders to ensure procurement goals and targets are understood and met, providing category-level commercial, contractual, and negotiation support across the organization.
- Manage the Tender Process: Manage the end-to-end tender process, including RFI/RFP, ensuring alignment with business requirements and KPIs/SLAs.
- Lead Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships during the contracting process, ensuring effective contract management and supplier performance.
- Support Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement processes within the procurement team and with stakeholders, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to optimize procurement operations.
- Minimum of 5 Years Procurement Experience: Minimum of 5 years procurement experience with similar responsibilities, including experience in contract law and contract drafting.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and analytical skills, ability to establish and influence strong working relationships at all levels.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex procurement concepts to stakeholders.
- Category Experience: Essential indirect category experience for both Goods and Services, with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Hybrid Working Model: Hybrid working model with flexibility between home and office, allowing for a better work-life balance.
- Early Finish: Early finish at 4pm on Fridays, providing a sense of work-life balance.
