Job Summary

Circle Cloud Communications Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the company's financial strategy and management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals, providing accurate and comprehensive financial insights to the Board and executive team, and driving corporate financial strategy, including capital structure, financing, and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Provide the Board and executive team with accurate and comprehensive financial insights to guide policy-making and strategic planning.
  • Drive corporate financial strategy, including capital structure, financing, and investment decisions.
Financial Oversight and Governance
  • Ensure robust financial governance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Lead the preparation of financial reports, including annual reports, investor presentations, and regulatory filings.
Investment and Risk Management
  • Manage the company's investment portfolio and evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investments.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funders, banks, and other financial institutions.
Financial Operations
  • Oversee the finance department, including financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and accounting functions.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records, reports, and statements.
  • Supervise the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
Leadership and Collaboration
  • Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with operational goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board on financial matters.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the implementation and use of financial systems and software, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Treasury and Cash Management
  • Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, banking relationships, and debt management.
  • Lead initiatives to optimise working capital and improve cash flow forecasting.
Regulatory Compliance and Taxation
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory filings.
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and assess their impact on the company.
Corporate Development
  • Evaluate and execute strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships.
  • Lead due diligence processes and negotiate terms for corporate transactions.
  • Source and secure external funding to support growth and expansion plans.

Requirements

  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with substantial post-qualification experience.
  • Extensive experience in financial strategy, planning, and management.
  • Strong background in SME finance, investment management, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Experience with financial systems, preferably Xero, and a strong understanding of financial regulations.
  • Telecommunications industry experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Committed, enthusiastic, and able to drive the business forward through strategic financial management.
