Job Title: Naval Architect

We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team at Gold Group Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for conducting structural analyses using ANSYS Finite Element Analysis software and theoretical methods.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conducting stability analyses using Paramarine naval architecture software
* Taking part in inclining experiments of naval ships and completing the post-experiment analysis
* Design of ship modifications and capability upgrades
* Undertaking the technical analysis required for drydocking of ships
* Lending expertise to the through-life maintenance and support of ships
* Consulting on naval base facilities which require naval architecture knowledge

Requirements:

* Qualified to degree level, MEng in Naval Architecture / Marine Technology / Ship Science
* Eligibility to obtain UK SC Security Clearance
* Experience of structural analysis using ANSYS Workbench
* Experience of the whole ship engineering design process
* Experience of the hydromechanic aspects of surface ship design, principally stability
* Familiarity of naval architectural software, preferably PARAMARINE
* Experience of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor
