Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to support our Diagnostic World ultrasound services across Sunderland. This is a full-time permanent position.
The successful candidate will make healthcare better for our patients by undertaking ultrasound procedures efficiently and effectively for both the public and private sectors; adhering to best practice of ultrasound technique in line with company policy and guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake ultrasound procedures in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (aligned with RCR & SOR Standards).
- Undertake examinations in line with the patient referrals adhering to organisational guidelines.
- Manage a safe, effective, caring and well led environment responsive to our patients, customer and staff requirements.
- Support the Clinical Lead and Training Lead when required.
- Support the Operational Management Team with operational queries and participate in team meetings ensuring effective communication within the service.
- Support the Clinic HCA as required to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
- Assist trainee sonographers and other colleagues in the achievement of their learning outcomes.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a PGD in Ultrasound (or equivalent) and be a member of an appropriate professional body with valid registration.
They will have significant clinical experience as a qualified sonographer, undertaking a wide range of procedures at a minimum, General and Gynaecology.
The successful candidate will hold excellent scanning and reporting skills, a full clean UK driving licence and have access to a car.
