Job Role
We are seeking to appoint a skilled Environmental Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental consultancy, regulatory, or professional EHS roles, with a strong technical background in auditing, carbon/energy data management, or environmental permitting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the wider team of environmental, health, and safety consultants and associates to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
- Undertake audits of environmental legal compliance or other management system-based scopes.
- Conduct technical assessments of water, ground, waste, and air pollution risk.
- Support clients to obtain permits and authorizations.
- Deliver energy and carbon data analysis, accounting, and reporting projects.
- Support clients to develop and achieve sustainability goals.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with new and existing clients.
- Show ambition to grow and diversify the services offered by EHS Projects.
Requirements
- Relevant experience (one+ years) in environmental consultancy, regulatory, or a professional EHS role.
- Hold an Environmental, Geography, Geology, or other STEM-related degree.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- A clean UK driving license.
- Access to a car and willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland.
Desirable Experience
- Environmental or EHS auditing.
- Environmental permitting or similar authorizations.
- Technical assessments of environmental risk.
- Developing environmental management systems.
- Working with energy and carbon data, or low carbon agenda projects.
