About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Care Assistant to join our clinical team at Martlesham Heath Surgery. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking practice, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our primary care service.

Job Summary:

  • Assist the Practice Nurse with annual reviews and health checks
  • Undertake phlebotomy, blood tests, and vaccinations
  • Deliver wound care and dressings, under supervision as required
  • Patient education and promotion of health and well-being
  • Gather lifestyle data from patients and maintain accurate records

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Practice Nurse to deliver safe and effective nursing services
  • Assist with seasonal and special projects as requested
  • Contribute to the collection and analysis of data on patient needs and health outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

  • Qualified in Phlebotomy and Health Care Assistance
  • Experience of working in a GP practice and using SystmOne
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
