Machine Shop Foreman Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Foreman to join our team at Probe UK. As a Machine Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the workflow of the machine shop, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise and train machine operators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and control the quality of products, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production and delivery of products.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Machine Shop Foreman or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
  • 8 hour days, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • 22 + 8 days holiday per year.
  • Potential for overtime.
  • Discretionary company bonus.
