As a Scenic Artist at National Theatre Productions (ntp), you will be responsible for translating set designers' visions into reality. This requires practical craft skills, imagination, and problem-solving abilities. You will work with a variety of materials, including paints, inks, and textures, to create visually stunning sets for our productions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join our scenic art team on a 24-month fixed-term contract. As a member of our team, you will learn highly transferable painting, drawing, and texturing skills, as well as gain knowledge of materials and scenic construction techniques that can be applied not only to theatre but also to film, events, and TV.

What You Will Do
  • Under supervision, you will undertake tasks including painting, texturing, and carving in relation to the requirements of any given project or production.
  • You will work on specific projects to develop your scenic skills, techniques, and finishes.
  • You will repair and refurbish scenery as required as part of the maintenance of shows in performance.

We are looking for someone who has creative skills and can work well in a team. A salary of approximately £18,000-£22,000 per annum reflects the level of responsibility and expertise required for this role.
