Exciting Opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at a first opinion small animal practice in the Portsmouth area of Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a varied surgical and medical caseload with at least 3 mornings of surgery each week.
  • Work full time hours over 4 days a week with 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota and no Sundays, no OOH.
  • Contribute to a busy practice with an active client base of around 67% canine, 27% feline and less than 6% rabbit and exotic.
  • Develop and maintain good routine surgical and medical skills.
  • Collaborate with a friendly, welcoming and close knit team of 2 Vets, 4 RVNs, 1 nurse assistant, 1 practice manager/practice owner and 4 receptionists.
  • Participate in CPD allowance and certificate study supported.
  • Enjoy excellent location to enjoy city life of Portsmouth, excellent transport links and close to the coast and AONB for outdoor pursuits.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
  • Registered with the RCVS.
  • Good routine small animal surgical and medical skills.
  • Looking for a role with more surgical time.
Benefits:
  • Salary to £65,000.00 per annum (subject to experience).
