About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our dynamic team at Asda Opticians, committed to excellence in healthcare.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and service, working closely with our Dispensing Optician Manager to support with training, coaching, and maintaining all departmental standards.

You will have the opportunity to gain additional accreditations to deliver a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions, supported by our extended service contracts with the NHS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete eye examinations, contact lens, and extended service examinations
  • Work alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards
  • Deliver high-quality patient care and service
  • Develop and implement new patient services and shape the culture of the department
Requirements
  • Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
  • MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda)
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
