Are you passionate about working with cutting-edge subsea technology in a challenging environment? We are seeking an experienced ROV Senior Surveyor or Survey Engineer to join our ROV team as part of the wider SALMO department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project preparations, focusing on survey planning and preparation
  • Oversee the installation of survey equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning correctly
  • Set up and calibrate survey online navigation systems to ensure accurate data collection
  • Maintain a detailed survey log and record all data collected
  • Acquire and quality control survey data to meet customer requirements
  • Process and quality control survey data to ensure it meets customer specifications
  • Creation of survey client reports to present findings and recommendations
  • Develop and implement survey procedures and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Support the ROV supervisor with day-to-day operations and provide technical expertise as required
  • Support the ROV procurement team with technical requirements and specifications
  • Be prepared to work offshore for extended periods, up to 120 days per year, split over multiple deployments

Person Specification

  • Hold a relevant HNC qualification (Level 4) or have demonstrable experience as an offshore/hydrographic surveyor
  • Experience of mobilising survey equipment and ensuring it is ready for deployment
  • Proficient in survey system calibrations and able to troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Experience of leading survey teams and providing technical guidance and support
  • Knowledge of system interfacing, network/communication protocols, and data management

Working with Us

  • As a member of our team, you will be required to be fit to pass and maintain a two-yearly ENG1 seafarers medical
  • You will be required to enlist as a Royal Navy Sponsored Reserve
  • Extended hours may be required to support operational commitments
  • You will be required to live within 60 minutes travelling time of the base to which you are appointed
  • You will be required to hold an in-date UK driving licence
