About the Role

We are now seeking a Financial Reporter to produce high-quality news and features across all business sectors. This includes covering stories ranging from retail and consumer trends, to transport and industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business and economics, as well as excellent writing and reporting skills. They will be able to generate exclusive news stories, collaborate with teams across the Guardian, and bring fresh perspectives to business journalism.

Responsibilities

  • Produce news and features across all business sectors
  • Write breaking news, features, and exclusive off-diary news
  • Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to uncover exclusive stories
  • Collaborate with teams across the Guardian, including video, audio, and social media

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of business and economics
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills
  • Ability to generate exclusive news stories
  • Feature writing experience

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
