About the Role:

To manage key, high-value waste contracts (£3 to £6 million) and deliver operational commissioning processes from planning to implementation. Key responsibilities include maintaining effective partnerships with statutory, voluntary, private agencies, District & Borough Councils, and communities to promote and meet the Council's and Department's services and objectives.

  • Support the performance management of services and teams through the departmental business planning process to drive continuous improvement in the delivery of Departmental and Service outcomes.
  • Protect and manage information securely, reporting breaches or suspected information security breaches in line with Council policies.
About You:
  • You will have substantial equivalent experience in contract procurement, contract management, and/or direct operations/transport/logistics services.
  • A member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (MCIWM), Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport, or equivalent (or willing to work towards).
  • SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE IN THE PROCUREMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF WASTE CONTRACTS (OR CONTRACTS OF A SIMILAR NATURE).
What We Offer:

We estimate the salary range for this role to be between £35,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
