Job Title: Electrical Generator Engineer

Central Power Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Generator Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical generator systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and test electrical generator systems, including control and power cabling, to ensure compliance with NICEIC requirements.
  • Perform on-site testing and fault finding, including reprogramming requirements, to ensure generator systems operate efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct generator servicing and maintenance at customer premises, including load testing and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective team working and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the diesel generator installation field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel generator commissioning engineer.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturer's equipment and experience with DSE, COMAP, and Woodward control panels.
  • NVQ Level 3/HNC/HND in Electronic/Electrical or equivalent qualifications.
  • City & Guilds 2395/2396 or 2392/Inspect & Test certification.
  • Manufacturers' training courses and a clean driving license.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Served a recognized electrical apprenticeship.
  • Computer literacy, including word, excel, and plc languages.
  • Experience in a variety of alternator makes and types.
  • Experience in diesel engine diagnostics.
