Learning Support Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with children with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.

Your role will involve learning about the cognitive, behavioural, and emotional needs of each student and how to attend to these. You will help identify triggers and barriers to learning, as well as implementing your knowledge of psychological theory and applying it in the classroom. Your primary focus will be on ensuring every pupil feels safe and supported in school, and helping to create a fun and engaging learning environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology Graduate looking to gain experience working with vulnerable children. You will have the chance to network with Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors, and Speech & Language Teams, gaining valuable experience that will set you apart from other graduates.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Psychology Graduate with a strong understanding of child development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
