Podiatrist Opportunity for Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Podiatrist to join our team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. As a member of our podiatry team, you will be supported to develop skills to enable you to undertake a complex multi-functional role combining clinical and professional duties and responsibilities to manage a large caseload of patients with diverse needs in a community setting.
Main Duties:
- The successful candidate will work to develop extensive knowledge and skills, particularly in the following areas: mobility and gait analysis, tissue viability and wound management, vascular and neurological conditions, dermatological pathologies, musculoskeletal pathologies, immunosuppressed conditions, caseload management, and assessment skills.
- They will develop skills in the assessment, diagnosis, delivery, and evaluation of individualized podiatric care packages to patients in various locations, including their own homes.
- The Podiatrist will contribute to maintaining tissue viability, maximizing mobility, and relieving pain for patients with factors that place them at risk due to various medical, structural, and social needs.
- Under the supervision of a Senior Podiatrist, they will further develop investigative and analytical skills to assimilate and prioritize information to develop individual treatment plans based on clinical need and determine priority and risk status to facilitate caseload management.
- They will carry out minor surgical procedures using local anesthesia under the direct supervision of a Senior Podiatrist.
About the Role:
- Salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum
- AfC Salary at £29,970 - £36,483 per annum
