Job Summary

This senior position involves providing support and company secretarial services to Barclays Bank Ireland PLC and its Board and Board Committees. You will work closely with the Chairman and senior executives, assisting with board succession, board and committee evaluations, agenda preparation, and board paper management.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Act as Company Secretary to regulated or significant legal entities, including liaison with the Chairman and senior executives.
  • Provision of support, advice, and guidance to the Barclays Group on company law and appropriate regulations.
  • Creation and review of corporate governance documents, including charters, terms of reference, matters reserved for the board, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintenance of the company's statutory registers and data fields required for adherence to Barclays Group policies and standards.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An experienced Company Secretarial professional with deep corporate governance knowledge.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
