Job Overview

About the Role

The Anaesthesia Education Fellow will be responsible for reviewing live Primary Exam questions, providing on-call cover, and working on various tasks related to the exam's development and maintenance. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the education and training of UK anaesthetists while developing valuable skills in medical education and assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing live Primary Exam questions and ensuring their integrity
  • Providing on-call cover as part of the Senior Tier Rota
  • Working on tasks related to the development and maintenance of the Primary MCQ Examination
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Mbbs or equivalent qualification
  • Primary FRCA Pass
  • 36 months anaesthesia / ICU experience in a UK training post
  • RCOA Stage 1 Training Certificate or Confirmation of Stage 1 Equivalence Certificate
  • Obstetric anaesthesia experience (including on-call work)
  • Experience delivering medical education at an undergraduate or postgraduate level
  • Advanced Life Support certification
  • Good written and oral presentation skills
What We Offer

In addition to the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills, we offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including annual leave entitlement, membership of the NHS Pension Scheme, flexible working opportunities, and enhanced hourly rates for unsociable hours.
