Job Overview

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that provides protection for the nuclear industry. We are seeking a Risk Manager to join our Governance Team and develop our risk strategy, standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing risk management strategies, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintaining risk management records and ensuring a robust audit trail.
  • Engaging stakeholders to define objectives and scope of monitoring reviews.
  • Aiding stakeholder understanding of key risks and issues, with appropriate assessment and scoring of risks.
  • Assisting with risk modelling and analysis to produce and advise on levels of contingency required to protect the organization from undue risk.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of risk management and advice, along with excellent communication skills. You should be suitably qualified and able to demonstrate a strong understanding of risk management. Experience of producing clear and concise reports up to and including Board level is also essential.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is up to £46,849 per annum, plus a £2,000 South East allowance for candidates based at Culham. You will also receive a generous benefits package, including 27.5 days annual leave, flexible working hours, and a pension scheme with a minimum employer contribution of £8,377 per year.
