Job Title: Specialist Psychiatrist - Older Adult Community Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Psychiatrist to join our team in Preston, working with the Older Adult Single Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT) and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). This is a full-time position with a 10PA workload.

Main Responsibilities:

The Specialist Psychiatrist will provide clinical input to patients with acute mental health needs, working in collaboration with the RITT and CMHT teams. The role will involve providing community services to patients with higher needs or risks, and contributing to the development of new ways of working.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, applicants should hold full GMC registration and have a minimum of 6 years' experience in a relevant specialty. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of community mental health and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

Person Specification:
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration and licence to practise
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months
  • At least 6 years' experience at SAS level or equivalent
  • At least 12 years' experience since primary medical qualification
