About the Role:
A self-employed Personal Care Assistant is required to join a team of carers to support a lady with Vascular Dementia, macular degeneration, hypertension, and hearing loss. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living tasks to promote an independent social life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the client with daily tasks and activities
- Assist with mobility and balance issues
- Provide companionship and social interaction
- Cover hours as needed, including weekdays and weekends
Requirements:
- Self-employed status
- Personal care experience
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility to cover varying hours
Working Arrangements:
- Thursday: 1 hour, 5:30-6:30 pm
- Saturday: 3 hours, 2:30-5:30 pm (flexible start time)
Working for the Individual:
The Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council Direct Payments Advice Service supports individuals living independently in the community. As a self-employed Personal Care Assistant, you will work directly with the client and their family.
