Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide individualized support to students, working closely with class teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans. You will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills, and encouraging independence.
Key Responsibilities:- Support class teachers in preparing resources and delivering lessons to meet the needs of students with Autism and other associated challenges.
- Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to develop skills and build confidence.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to monitor progress, set goals, and celebrate achievements.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive classroom environment, promoting social skills and encouraging independence.
- Understand and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the well-being and safety of students.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
- Experience working with students with Autism and other associated challenges, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting students and contributing to the school community.
