As an Air Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in our Air Quality team based in London. This technical role includes:

  • Good practical, verbal/written communication, IT, numerical proficiency, and excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in dispersion modelling (ADMS-Roads, ADMS 6).
  • Experience with GIS (QGIS).
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Planning and completing technical aspects of assigned projects, including data collection, analysis, and ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed.
  • Understanding of LAQM, UK planning and legislation.
  • Conducting engineering and scientific estimation calculations for emission rates
  • Working to strict schedules and project milestones while maintaining product quality.
  • Writing technical reports that present methodology, results, and recommendations.
  • Performing site visits and participating in client meetings.
  • Complying with all applicable health and safety procedures and guidelines.

We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering/science disciplines, with advanced degrees.
  • Ideally working towards full membership of the IES and the IAQM.

Candidates should also possess:

  • Ability to work on several projects at once and successfully meet deadlines.
  • Strong people and team skills.
  • Work independently and in collaboration with other colleagues on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Drive to continuously improve processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for site visits, air quality surveys, and other project requirements.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.

Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:

  • AERMOD and CALPUFF dispersion modelling.
  • Basic understanding of programming, for example R, Python, Linux.
