About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at E3 Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Engineering: Utilize your expertise in mechanical design to create and develop new products and systems.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to re-engineer existing designs and create new applications.
  • Test Equipment Design: Design and develop test equipment and procedures for gearboxes.
  • Customer Requirements: Interpret and apply customer specifications and design standards, including geometric tolerancing.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards (performance, safety, etc.).
  • Documentation: Produce and manage technical documentation, including proposals, manuals, and installation/maintenance instructions.
  • CAD Expertise: Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software to create component and assembly drawings, BOMs, and gear data.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production Engineering and Supply Chain teams to solve technical issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering: A degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Strong Understanding: A strong understanding of product design and analysis methods is essential.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing: Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials, and processing methods is required.
  • Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, AGMA, DIN, FKM, DNV is necessary.
  • Machinery Safety: Awareness of Machinery Safety regulations is required.
  • SAP Experience: Experience with SAP in the context of engineering design data specification is a plus.
