About the Role:

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a skilled Donor Care Driver to provide exceptional care to donors across various locations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of staff and equipment, as well as delivering direct care to donors throughout the donation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care to donors throughout the donation process.
  • Transport staff and equipment to various locations for mobile donating sessions.
  • Set up community donation sessions, pulling and pushing cages or trolleys of equipment weighing up to 60kg.
  • Perform and monitor venepunctures to obtain donations and samples in accordance with nationally approved procedures.

Requirements:

  • A 'C' licence for a goods vehicle in excess of 7.5 tonnes with a current and valid CPC.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including Sundays and late evenings.

We are looking for a friendly and caring individual who enjoys meeting people and working as part of a team. You should be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sound knowledge of the geography of the region, as extensive travel is required.
