About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Engineering Automation Professional to join our team at INEOS Belgium and drive the successful delivery of DCS upgrades across all FPS assets.

  • Leverage your technical expertise to lead DCS upgrades, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance, while collaborating closely with operations, process engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute projects that drive business growth and efficiency, using your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Play a key role in managing maintenance, security, and availability, ensuring compliance with industry standards, including 61511, 61508, and 62443, and protecting sensitive data and systems.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and baseline audits to ensure robust cybersecurity practices are implemented and maintained, and participate in security maintenance activities, including monitoring system health and checking automated backup systems.
  • Manage asset DCS & security projects, working with vendors to execute projects, managing requirements specs, budgets, testing, and handover, and execute engineering and configuration level 1 systems, including PLC's, Advanced Control, Optimisation, HMI, Router, Switch, and Firewall configuration.
  • Leads OT Admin activities for active directory, servers, workstations, historians, on-prem cloud, applications, and database management, and ensures minimal downtime and maximum productivity during TAR's, commissioning, start-up, and routine operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the FPS Automation team to support operations and respond to emergent issues, providing timely and effective solutions, and act as the job responsible engineer for management of change, writing specifications, driving risk assessments, and executing all aspects of asset modifications.
  • Support others in the teams to deliver projects across all assets, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting shared success, and take part in planning activities to manage resource and budgets to deliver projects with other disciplines and plan activities with vendors.
  • Attend regular meetings with operations and projects teams to plan resource and vendor effort, promoting open communication and collaboration, and analyse daily and weekly integrity reports with follow-up remediation and repair work, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with operations, process engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute projects, driving business growth and efficiency, and provide expert support during TAR's, commissioning, start-up, and routine operations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control, or Process Engineering (or equivalent), demonstrating strong technical knowledge and expertise, and strong knowledge of control system design, programming, and integration, including experience with industrial communication protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and knowledge of cybersecurity practices for industrial control systems (IEC62443) and experience in industries such as oil & gas, power generation, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with server/workstation build & configuration, virtual environments, database management, and cybersecurity practices for industrial control systems (IEC62443), and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Salary: £67,500 - £87,500 per annum depending on experience. The actual salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
