Escape Recruitment Services is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team in Fife. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the Assembly and Test scope within the production process.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions and ensure that all processes align with industry standards, project timelines, and quality requirements.
The Role- Review engineering drawings, part reports, and procedures to ensure parts are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in line with production standards.
- Create and maintain key production documentation, including assembly and test procedures, work instructions, and routings, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing and Design, to enhance production outcomes and continuously improve the production process.
- Develop standard routings for various modules and product families to streamline costs and lead times.
- Write detailed specifications for the design and procurement of shop tools, and ensure tooling configurations meet project requirements.
- Update user documentation based on findings from the production process to reflect improvements and best practices.
- Previous experience within the manufacturing sector, particularly within Assembly and Test, is highly desirable.
- A Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in developing production documentation and routings.
- Excellent organisational skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
- Experience with CAD/CAM (NX), PLM systems (TCE), and ERP systems (SAP) is beneficial.
